Clarity, presence and emotional intelligence are the keys to any leader being able to influence and inspire a company, lead a board or manage change. Where do those skills come from? In my experience they come from within us, and the sign of a good coaching relationship is when a leader is able to be vulnerable, curious and engaged in the process. In my experience the greatest leaps leaders make in coaching are the ones that are internal, and the clarity of vision often comes at the expense of assumptions about themselves and others.
